It has been a very tough few days for us Burghs members who were privileged to know Ravi. He had been President of Burghs for a few years and a club member for well over a decade and was instrumental in keeping this club alive through the lows of the late 90s. Once our club was in good hands, Ravi embarked on perpetuating cricket in Ottawa by successfully launching a new club, Nepean Cricket Club. Furthermore, he was also an icon in the Sri Lankan community, where he spent selfless hours raising funds and organizing events for his people. Apart from being a community man, Ravi was also responsible for igniting a few careers along the way. Today, Ravi Anna has left his family, our Burghs family, his friends and the Ottawa community as a whole but not without leaving an incredible legacy in such a short span of time. Let's pay homage to this noble man.
